Beauty in the Breakdown
Emotions are very difficult to deal with. Logically speaking, I know that certain things shouldn't affect me but it does and I find it so difficult to open up to speak about it to try to solve the issue because it seems so silly, so trivial and I seem to be affected by such a silly thing. Have you ever experienced something like that before? Where you're kinda cheesed off at someone but when you rationally analyze it, you really shouldn't be /that/ cheesed off by their actions but at the end of the day, it doesn't change the fact that your still cheesed off and no amount of rationalizing in the world is gonna change that.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...... and this reminds me of the whole pot calling kettle black situation where I'm always rolling my eyes when my co-worker gets too sensitive about things and at the same time I get sensitive about utter rubbish like this.

Sometimes I'd like to think I'm a cool cucumber but really I'm just honestly a gooey mess.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. It's so horribly entertaining.

Here have some chicken:
Photobucket

In case your wondering, the marks were actually made by putting the chicken on a metal rack since I find that roasting on a metal rack makes the chicken less oily and distributes the heat a little more evenly but it leaves those unsightly marks. The chicken was 'reverse' roasted, cause convention says to usually roast it breast side first but I find this makes the chicken kinda dry, so I roast it underbelly side first and then turn it around to brown the skin. Makes for juicy chicken :9 I guess this happens when you don't have a rotisserie attachment BUT our new microwave oven that we bought has that attachment, do I foresee more Roast Chickens in my future? :P

NYE was pretty cool! I did something real silly though, I left my phone at home so lots of angry people (from boss to kemu) were trying to get me the whole day. EEEK SORRY GUYS T_T

So the day started with me trying to get my hair dyed after work and well the hair stylist dyed my hair a god awful STRAWBERRY BLONDE when I had requested either an Ash Blonde or a greyish blonde. Anyway, in the end after bottles had been thrown around, scaring half the customers and wreckage on the table, the hair stylist agreed to give it to me half price and free treatment. The color actually was nice BUT not suitable on my skin tone and was NOT the color I had wanted.

Anyway I quickly rushed to Nao's party cause I was about an hour late. Met all the usuals and extra new friends (got their numbers too) Ironically Melissa is a high school mate of my ex!!!! She swore she had met me before aeons ago. Definitely gonna bring Melissa out and about, she LOVES German beer we can bermabuk-mabuk together!

Then I quickly headed over to Tokiyas and again met all the usual peeps. Then New Years happen and it was almost like an Anime scene. We heard the fireworks but couldn't see them since Toki lives in the heart of SS4 (a housing area) and we were sad so we all ran to the road and saw fireworks in between houses, then suddenly someone shouted "GO DOWN THE ROAD" and lo and behold there was an empty PADANG/FIELD (WTF?) in the middle of a residential area looking over the LDP Highway!!!! That was just so random! So we saw all the fireworks that were happening on this side of PJ. If we were wearing Yukatas it would had so been an anime scene.

Then I decided to fix my hair with Christy's help and now it is this lovely shade of light burgundy brown!!! I will eventually ONE DAY have Ash blonde hair but for now I'll be content with light Burgundy Brown.

Then today, I roasted a chicken for my co-workers gathering, got drunk on Herbal Chicken Soup and LOTS of Sangria. Man my co-worker makes a MEAN Sangria, it's so yummy and dangerous because you don't realize it's alcoholic till your on the floor saying "Oh my, the room is spinning" (I blame the combination of a fatal Raisin Wine Chicken Soup and Potent Sangria).

I hope your New Years was good too!

Lord the Rings Symphony
LOTR went fairly well, it was an amazing experience by itself! I kept my MPO security card and obviously got our program booklet for memories (will scan them when I has time). It's been a crazy 6 month journey, and it all came to a close on Sunday. One part of me is sad but the other part of me is happy that I was a part of this amazing journey. I will treasure this memory for life, not everyone can say that they've sung for the Lord of The Rings Symphony tour. The practice for the symphony was almost like LOTR itself, despite the darkest night, always remember that the sunrise will come in the morning. We were in pretty bad shape when we first met the conductor because we weren't familiar with the German Style of conducting and we couldn't get the counting right but in the end we managed to pull thru! I'm very very very proud of our choir despite having a C+ grade in the conductor's eyes, I'm just happy that our choir is a 100% Malaysian choir and we did very well despite everything. Malaysia Boleh! :)

Comic Fiesta 2008
Comic Fiesta was so amazing! I missed out on CF 2007 because I was still in the US at that time so came back to CF 2008 with a bang. Odin Sphere group is epic epic. Thank you again Kazeki for inviting me to join your team! I absolutely love cosing in teams and am all ready trying to plan the next team I'm joining (hehehehehehe). I still think I look like a whale but albeit this time a baby whale hehehehehe! Maybe one day I'll post that I'd look like a dolphin next time. Diet diet diet diet!!!! And lots of exercise!

Singaporeans
It was awesome hanging out with ALL of you! I met old familiar faces and met new ones! I'm just sad I couldn't take any of you clubbing because I was so tired from Lord of the Rings. T_T Anyway met so many people it would literally take half of this post up! And I'm so sorry for the people who I had to drive home (sorry Skye, Hiyuki and Jill!!!). I'm a pretty bad driver so they were clinging on for their lives! Also Decadence and Drefan you guys need to update me on plans for FF8.

Year end Plans
I recently took up surfing (which explains why I'm so tan this couple of months) and it's great! When you get wiped out though (as in your fall off your surfboard and enter into a wave), that's a little scary as the waves just suck you in and you a submerged for about 30 seconds but the trick is to not fight the current but let it carry you away. I think that's why surfer dudes end up being so chill, nothing can describe what a wipe out feels like until you finally experience one. It's almost as if you're drowning, gasping for air and mentally almost for your life but you know if you let the wave just 'finish its cycle' then everything will be ok. I'm not that great at surfing but am definitely enjoying it as I love the beach and the adrenaline of entering a wipe out is just indescribable.

I may toned down choir for a while as I feel extremely burnt out from all that singing and it got to a point where I was involved with 2 shows and well had rehearsal almost every other night. Probably my goals for next year are to continue surfing and to take up pole dancing classes (so inspired by Karrie!)

2008 had it's ups and downs but definitely mostly ups! :)

Come 23 days, it'll mark the date I left the US a year ago. There are still somethings I miss about the US but boy am I glad to be back in Malaysia! :)

can anyone give me tips on how to make a 4 panel cap/hat thingy?

My Hats keep having a pointy shape at the apex instead of being rounded?

I want my hat to look exactly like this:

8th-Dec-2008 10:36 pm - Things I need to do for CF (wargh)
D:

Hey does anyone have a knee length petticoat I can borrow?! Any color. It's for my Lion skirt which is too flat by itself.

Things I need to do this Thursday:
1. Finish the skirt (get off my lazy ass and finish it yar)
2. Sew stars to chain, sew chain to Tudung
3. Pin the tudung so it fits my head
4. Wash my Sheryl wig
5. Collect Grey boots from Amir
6. Find my black stockings

Things I need to do before CF:
1. Sew stars to hat
2. Collect shoes from Hubby-san
3. LOSE WEIGHT
4. Make Lion corset more BOOBTASTIC
5. Borrow a knee length petticoat from someone
6. Practice singing hahahahahha (omg good luck, why do I constantly add stress to my life that isn't necessary. I call myself a hedonistic person but truly I am a masochist)

I think that's it...

Wow that's a fairly short list, I was expecting it to be longer =/ I totally forgot abt the Sheryl fixing up. HAHHAHAHA

PS Should really stop playing Quest for Glory 4. I spent the whole holiday playing QFG4 and all I did was cut the interfacing out for my skirt . HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA.

PPS thank God Christmas shopping is taken care of and done! Thanks to J-san for being my shopping partner and learning the wonders of make-up. Tee hee.

Akira from Aria
No not really quite yet..... Wait till the costume is done. :P

Make-up test! I can't wait for CF!!!!!! The wig has bangs but it will be hidden by the veil thingy and although the wig could have some curls but borrowed wig is borrowed (thanks Leareth!!!). The costume is slowly coming together and I'm super not stressed about it (yet...) but I don't anticipate to be as stressed as previous rushes cause job has finally settled down and most of the sewing has been done and sent whatever is needed to the tailor. Hope to get her skirt done over the weekend.

Hurrah for ho-tastic easy costumes!

PS I lost 1.5 kg since AFA and 3 kg since I started my diet (even before the horrendous 2 week work craze ><). I'm now at a healthy 55kg!!! YAY \o/ I need to lose 2 more KG and I'll be my original weight before I lived in the US. Can I lose 2 kg in 2 weeks? WHY NOT. Right now I've upped my fitness regime by replacing dinner with meal replacement protein shakes! I also started a detox program which consists of some weird detoxing plums.

2 weeks more BABY ;3
